Romain Charton
My background was built at the intersection of administration, finance, and information technology. These fields are closely connected in practice, yet they often struggle to communicate with one another.
Early on, I realized how problematic this gap can be, and how essential it is for these worlds to truly understand each other for things to work, beyond silos and rhetoric.
I am deeply curious by nature and have always needed to understand the environments and tools I work with. Automation naturally grew out of this curiosity.
I see it as something almost playful: assembling, adjusting, and connecting elements so that the whole works better. And when something doesn’t quite fit, taking the time to understand why.
I have worked in very diverse environments, often international and multicultural, with different frameworks, constraints, and expectations. This diversity taught me to adapt quickly, to read situations, to understand implicit as well as formal challenges, and to take into account contexts, habits, and the people involved. Today, it allows me to quickly grasp what truly matters in a given organization, without imposing ready-made models.
In this mindset, everything starts with what already exists: understanding its logic and its limits, then making choices that allow progress without adding unnecessary complexity. Building something coherent, applicable, and sustainable over time, while taking into account constraints, tools, and the reality of the people who use them.
Real-world situations are rarely simple, and good tools alone are not always enough to make them clearer. My role is to help bring clarity, ask the right questions, and build solutions (or sometimes simply find it) that are appropriate and sustainable.
If this approach talks to you, then a conversation is probably a good place to start.
